Real paper and wood elements were photographed and animated in After Effects for a very convincing look that emulates the look of actual stop-motion, but with none of the messiness or chaotic abruptness. Nice and smooth. Sort of slick, but sort of rough at the same time. The limited colour palette, the character design, the subtle touches of depth-of-field and all the little snowflake particle animations all add up to a really well-done series of spots.

I have been doing a massive amount of research into Michel Gondry. His video for The Chemical Brothers "Let Forever Be" was the subject of a 1000 word essay for my critical studies review.
This was really, really hard work, but I think I got there in the end. Research, research and more research led me to Busby Berkely's "Gold Diggers of 1935", Francois Rabelais, Freud, Georges Melies, Mise en scene, and many other things that I found about about.. My brain hurts, but in a good way.
